PHANTOM HIGHWAY

Phantom Highway is a tour of the never-built Bushwick Expressway, a Robert Moses project that accelerated the decline of the neighborhoods in its wake.  Following the freeway's path reveals a cycle of displacement and disinvestment, followed by gentrification.

Phantom Highway was part of BIKEBOX, organized by Bill Brown and Sabine Gruffat.
